[Mark Konkel](/Our-People/Mark-A-Konkel) presented a program entitled, ​“Understanding AB5 and Its Applicability to Lifeline Distribution in California” to the National Lifeline Association and its members on December 16, 2019.

The program reviewed the impact of California’s new bill, Assembly Bill 5, known as AB 5, which codifies the California Supreme Court’s decision known as *Dynamex* and imposed a stricter three-prong test on employers seeking to classify their workers as independent contractors.
