On November 10, 2011, partner Allan J. Weiner spoke at the Pedorthic Footcare Association 52nd Symposium in Albuquerque, NM. In a session titled, ​“Succession Planning for Private Businesses: It’s Never Too Early,” Mr. Weiner outlined the preparations business owners should make now to anticipate retirement or a major life event. Mr. Weiner provided insight on the broad and varied ways that these transition events can occur and how the differences will affect business and tax planning issues that companies may face.
