# Stay INFORMed: Leveraging the Law in Your Investigations

Partner [Paul Singer](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/paul-l-singer) will present at the Retail Industry Leaders Association’s (RILA) 2024 Retail Asset Protection Conference on ​“Staying INFORMed: Leveraging the Law in Your Investigations.” 2023 saw the implementation of the federal INFORM Consumers Act, which puts new obligations on online marketplaces to collect, verify, and disclose certain seller information, suspend non-compliant sellers, and create a reporting mechanism for suspicious marketplace activity. This workshop will provide an overview of the INFORM Act and explore how it can be utilized in AP investigations and aid in state and federal enforcement.
