On August 4, 2010, Partners Dana B. Rosenfeld and Alysa Zeltzer Hutnik gave a presentation to the General Counsel Roundtable titled ​“Retail Data Privacy: Top Issues Driving Investigations and Litigation, and How to Avoid Becoming a Target.” The speakers summarized the current legislative and regulatory landscape for privacy and data security, outlined the issues that drive these investigations and litigation in the retail sector, and discussed key ways that companies can avoid becoming the target of government enforcers and private litigants’ attention.
