On October 28, 2015, partner [Merrill B. Stone](/Our-People/Merrill-B-Stone) will participate in the ​“Regulatory Update Panel” at the 2015 American Stock Transfer & Trust Company Executive Forum. Attendees include CFOs, COOs, senior officers, directors and investor relations personnel of public companies, mutual funds, law firms and shareholder services providers. Mr. Stone will be addressing critical issues and concerns pertaining to the rules governing transfer agents that are expected to be proposed by the SEC; the status of proposals to dematerialize the securities markets and move towards a system in which securities transactions would be settled within two trading days (T+2) rather than three (T+3); and an amicus brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court by the Securities Transfer Association and the Shareholder Services Association in a case involving escheatment of securities.
