# Petition Process at the Commerce Department

2011 International Trade Update

On March 2, Georgetown University Law School hosted the 2011 International Trade Update. Partner Kathleen W. Cannon was a faculty member of that year’s special program: Trade &amp; Customs Law-Basics You Need To Know. Ms. Cannon moderated a panel of three veteran practitioners who discussed effective advocacy in a Commerce Department antidumping or countervailing duty investigation. The panel outlined the steps involved with preparation or reaction to a petition, dealing with the investigation, and setting up and litigating issues in court or in the WTO.
