# Kelley Drye and SABANY Host Panel on Jury Selection

On May 25, 2017, Kelley Drye hosted the CLE presentation ​“Jury Selection, Staffing Trial Teams, and Stereotypes.” Sponsored by the Women’s Committee and Public Interest Committee of the South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY), the distinguished panelists discussed the jury selection process, Batson framework, and principles for identifying and considering potential jurors, including the implicit biases that accompany trial team staffing.

The panelists were the Honorable Pamela K. Chen, Federal District Judge, Eastern District of New York; Fun Young Choi, Assistant United States Attorney, US Attorney’s Office, SDNY; Lavanya Pisupati, Central Deputy of Trials, Tort Division, New York City Law Department; and Sheila S. Boston, Partner, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer.
