# Green Marketing—Everyone is Going Green, Are You?

Partner John E. Villafranco participated in the 2009 ABA Annual Meeting, July 30 - August 3 in Chicago, IL. The Annual Meeting was an opportunity for participants to choose from more than 1,600 events, including some 200 continuing legal education programs. Mr. Villafranco was a speaker in a CLE presentation titled, ​“Green Marketing—Everyone is Going Green, Are You?” The presentation provided information about the laws that can apply if a company is making ​“green” claims. The speakers also discussed issues including what to do from a trademark law perspective if a company is considering incorporating ​“green” into their brand.
