On June 13, 2011, partner John E. Villafranco spoke at the Food and Drug Law Institute conference, U.S.-China Food and Drug Law: Ensuring Quality, Improving Safety, Expanding Access, where top U.S. and Chinese officials, including Margaret Hamburg, M.D., Commissioner of Food and Drugs who delivered the keynote address. The conference focused on business opportunities and policy challenges in ensuring safety and promoting health for the combined U.S.-China market of more than 1.6 billion consumers. Mr. Villafranco moderated and spoke on the panel, ​“Enforcing Transparency: Labels, Ingredients and Health Claims.”
