On March 29, 2012, partners **Robert E. Crotty** and **Philip D. Robben** participatef in the Connecticut Law Tribune’s In-House Counsel CLE Lecture Series. Mr. Crotty and Mr. Robben gave a presentation titled, ​“Drafting Arbitration Clauses: Strategies to Maximize Efficiency and Avoid Court Challenges.” The topics included: an update on recent Supreme Court decisions concerning agreements to arbitrate; why using ​“model” arbitration clauses or other cut-and-paste approaches can damage your position in a dispute; and how to evaluate, in both domestic and international circumstances, options such as venue, language, choice of law, pre-arbitration resolution, choosing arbitrators, procedural rules, preliminary relief, dispositive motions, discovery, sanctions and enforcement of awards.
