On October 25, 2011, partner William C. MacLeod moderated a panel for The OECD Workshop on Consumer Policy Toolkit: Communication Services in Paris. The session, ​“Contract Terms,” discussed the contracts that consumers use to subscribe to communications services and the issues that consumers can face with comprehending these contracts, which can result in an inadequate understanding of what is being agreed to. It discussed the fairness of these contracts as well as the ability of providers to alter the terms and conditions of contracts without the knowledge of customers.
