# Sanctions Compliance for the Financial Sector

What do financial service providers need to do to strengthen their sanctions compliance programs and capture the ongoing risks associated with the global financial system? In this session, our sanctions attorneys will examine what internal compliance procedures must be in place to respond to the increased focus on sanctions enforcement; what protections should be included in contracts and transaction documents to cover current and/or future sanctions; how to develop a robust and well-run sanctions violation incident response plan; and how to mitigate reputational damage once you’ve been the subject of a high-profile enforcement case.
