# Caveat Emptor: How To Avoid Buying An HR Problem

Cautious acquirers should be aware of a multitude of labor, employment and benefits issues when undertaking corporate mergers and acquisitions. Kelley Drye Partner **Barbara Hoey** explored these important issues, applying them to the current legal landscape and offered strategic advice regarding the employment ramifications of mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Hoey’s practice focuses on the representation of employers in the area of employment law and employment litigation.

In accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board, this non-transitional continuing legal education program is not approved for the newly admitted attorney within the first two years of admission to the Bar.
