On February 26, 2020, partner [Ira Kasdan](/Our-People/Ira-T-Kasdan) gave a presentation at the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks & Aquarium’s annual conference in Washington, DC. His presentation, ​“Advancing the Zoological Community’s Interests Through Legal Strategies and Coalitions,” focused on measures for advancing the zoological community’s interests through legal strategies and coalitions, and provided an update on the Supreme Courts recent *Food Marketing Institute* decision relating to FOIA Exemption 4, and the recent decision in the New York Supreme Court’s ​“Happy the Elephant” Case relating to alleged animal ​“personhood,” along with lessons learned from those cases.
