Steve Millas represents institutional lenders in connection with the origination of traditional secured real estate debt financings. His experience includes CMBS and balance sheet loans, construction loans in New York, and senior and subordinated financings of all types of properties, including commercial, office, multifamily, retail and manufacturing facilities.
In the area of acquisitions and dispositions, he represents buyers and sellers of commercial real estate, including shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels and other commercial properties.
In addition, Steve frequently represents landlords, tenants and subtenants regarding their leasing endeavors. This includes retail, office and other commercial leasing transactions, as well as leases for office space ranging from hundreds to thousands of square feet in New York City and other major cities across the country.
Steve offers the requisite people skills that only experience can bring. He focuses on gaining consensus by bringing parties together in a way that not only benefits his client, but also other deal constituents. Over the last several decades, Steve has closed billions of dollars in transactions ranging from millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in value.
Regardless of the challenge before him, Steve always seeks to understand the terms of the deal inside and out in order to properly and effectively negotiate, document and close the transaction. His patience and skill in establishing trust and rapport with opposing counsel allow him to communicate productively with his counterparts to realize an agreement that works for all parties involved.

Represented the lender in a $30 million CMBS loan secured by a ground lease on an office tower in Brooklyn.
Represented a large international finance company and securities subsidiary in over 20 leases and subleases nationally comprising over 200,000 rentable square feet, including a disaster recovery site lease for 50,000 rentable square feet.
Represented the spinoff of a large international public accounting firm in over 40 leases and subleases nationally comprising over 250,000 rentable square feet.
Represented the seller of a large office complex in Massachusetts for a total sales price of approximately $120 million.
