Monica Moussighi focuses her practice on intellectual property matters, including patents, copyrights, trademark, and commercial litigation.
Monica advises clients on complex legal issues in the technology, manufacturing, financial, and oil and gas industries, among others. She performs a large volume of art searches and applied research to invalidate competitor patents, draft invalidity opinions and develop claim charts for patent infringement assertions.
Prior to her legal experience, Monica was a material-evaluating engineer for an energy company in Houston. She evaluated materials for use on electrical distribution lines—both economically and technically—investigated legal claims regarding materials used, participated in lawsuit resolution and provided engineering analysis. Monica has received mediation certification training and has a Texas Engineer-In-Training certificate.
Monica is an American Red Cross volunteer.
