Laura Carlock’s practice focuses on environmental litigation.  Laura’s experience also includes appellate and motions practice in complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Laura was CEO and General Counsel for Rescued Pets Movement Inc., an animal-welfare nonprofit credited for saving the lives of over 50,000 dogs and cats in just 7 years from the Houston City Pound’s (BARC) euthanasia list.

Prior to moving to Houston, Texas for law school, Laura was a professional musician in Memphis, Tennessee for 10 years.  Laura was editor in chief of the University of Houston Law Review and graduated first in her class.  After law school, Laura was a clerk to Carolyn Dineen King, then-Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Laura was also an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center, teaching both Remedies and Legal Research & Writing.
