A member of the firm’s Corporate practice, Joel Rublin focuses on contract matters, project development and finance, securities law and restructurings, with an emphasis on serving clients in the construction, energy, environmental and financial services sectors. In addition, Joel has frequently provided a corporate law perspective on complex dispute resolution–related matters.
Joel offers a broad legal perspective, together with an in-depth knowledge across a range of industries and a variety of complex financial structures and instruments, that allows him to effectively assist clients in achieving their business objectives. With more than three decades of experience, including financings for projects or clients located in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia, Joel is familiar with what it takes to drive a challenging transaction across the finish line while adhering to the client’s perspective on proper risk allocation. Joel also brings significant bankruptcy and restructuring experience to the table, having handled such work on behalf of various parties in interest on matters relating to, among others, the following companies: American Business Financial Services; certain Argentine telecommunications companies; a Brazilian energy company; Calpine; Enron; Pacific Gas and Electric; a Panamanian toll road company; Port Imperial Ferry; Propex; and Sterling Chemicals.
