A substantial portion of Jewel Tewiah’s practice involves the defense of consumer class actions under various state and federal laws concerning deceptive trade practices and telemarketing. Jewel has represented and advised major consumer products companies and retailers facing issues in advertising.
Jewel has significant experience in efficiently managing the various phases of complex litigation, including: drafting complaints and responsive pleadings; drafting dispositive motions; managing discovery; and drafting and negotiating settlement agreements.
Since joining Kelley Drye, Jewel has acquired the skills and knowledge needed to constantly deliver stellar results while managing the expectations and needs of clients.
During law school, Jewel assisted various nonprofit organizations and small businesses which served the Greater Newark area with their transactional needs. Jewel helped these organizations with organization formation, filings with the state of New Jersey, document review, and other transactional related matters.
