JENNIFER I. FISCHER Senior Associate
Jennifer Fischer is a senior associate in the Litigation and Labor and Employment practices.  She focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial litigation, employment law, and consumer class action defense. Comfortable in the court room, Jennifer has extensive experience defending employers in a variety of employment-related claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination; her record includes four jury trial wins in New Jersey state court.  Jennifer also defends companies who have been alleged of violating federal and state laws relating to website content and accessibility; as well as companies with alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

In additional to her litigation practice, Jennifer also regularly counsels employers on risk management, litigation prevention, wage-and-hour compliance, disability and leave processes, and other employment law issues.

Jennifer was previously a Deputy Attorney General with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law, Employment Litigation.  She defended the State of New Jersey, its departments and agencies, in all aspects of employment litigation.

New Jersey Attorney General Experience

Represented a state university in a jury trial (first chair) involving claims of disability discrimination. After a three-week trial, Jennifer won a directed verdict for her client.

Represented a state agency in a jury trial (first chair) involving claims of gender discrimination and hostile work environment. After a month-long trial, the jury returned a successful verdict.

Represented a state entity in a jury trial (first chair) where the Plaintiff alleged hostile work environment. After a week-long trial, Jennifer won a directed verdict for her client.

Argued motions before the Superior Court of New Jersey, including dispositive motions; argued appeals in the New Jersey Appellate Division.

Obtained numerous settlements after successful mediations and negotiations.

Deposed plaintiffs and defended depositions.
