Eloy Peral is a senior associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group. He represents creditor committees, liquidating trustees, debtors, landlords, stalking horse bidders, secured lenders, and other interested parties in a wide range of complex bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings throughout the United States.
Prior to law school, Eloy worked as an aide to former Senator Mel R. Martinez of Florida and as an intern for a lobbying and public relations firm.
Represented the liquidating trustee for Saab Cars North America, Inc., one of the largest vehicle franchisors to file bankruptcy and cease operations in American history.
Represented the liquidating trustee of Jesup & Lamp Securities Corporation, one of the oldest broker-dealers in the U.S. prior to its filing for Chapter 11 in October 2011.
Represented numerous automobile dealerships as debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings, including one of most valuable Jaguar Land Rover dealerships in the United States.
Represented Mexican oil driller in competitor’s cross-border Chapter 15 case (and associated adversary proceeding) whose oil rigs were valued at around $1 billion.
