CHRISTOPHER V. DRURY Associate
Chris Drury is an associate in the firm’s Litigation group.  He has experience managing all aspects of commercial litigation and arbitration for clients in pharmaceuticals, tech, and other industries.  In addition to handling commercial cases, Chris has also participated in defending clients against product liability, false advertising, and consumer privacy claims by government regulators and consumer classes.  Chris’s clients and colleagues value his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate issues early in litigation.

Chris also maintains an active pro bono immigration practice, in which he has represented clients applying for asylum and other relief before Immigration Courts and U.S. Customs and Immigration Services.
 
Commercial Litigation and Arbitration

Lead associate on team representing generic pharmaceutical company in breach of contract action relating to acquisition of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Lead associate on team representing a multi-national security services company in a Delaware Chancery Court dispute concerning the purchase price adjustment due under a stock purchase agreement.

Lead associate on team that represented an India-based IT firm in an ICDR arbitration to collect unpaid invoices for software development.  Obtained a complete victory, including an award of attorneys’ fees and costs and the dismissal of counter-claims seeking more than $5 million based on allegations of fraud and breach of contract.

Member of team that successfully defended a leading health information technology company in a five-day arbitration involving claims arising from the implementation of a suite of clinical and revenue software solutions.

Intellectual Property

Member of the team that represented an international confectioner in a trademark infringement and breach of contract suit.  Secured a favorable summary judgment ruling on all liability issues.

Member of the team that defended and obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of a national toy manufacturer in a patent infringement suit.

Consumer Class Action

Served as a member of the trial team that obtained a dismissal of all claims against a generic pharmaceutical company in the multidistrict litigation, In re: Zantac (Ranitidine) Products Liability and Opioids Litigation.

Member of team defending a dietary supplement company in an enforcement action brought by the Federal Trade Commission and the New York Attorney General’s office and five tag-along class actions filed across the country.

Member of team representing an infant nutrition company in a lawsuit filed by the FTC alleging that infant formula advertising claims violated Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, as well as six “piggy back” class actions alleging breach of warranty, intentional and negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and violation of various state consumer fraud and false advertising statutes.

Member of team that obtained a favorable settlement of TCPA class action against leading national solar energy company.
