Cathy Lee is a senior associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on class action litigation and media and entertainment class action. She has defended class actions involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), California’s Business & Professions Code § 17200 (Unfair Competition), § 17500 (False Advertising), § 17533.7 (Made in USA), and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA).
Defending clients in putative class actions alleging claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act for unsolicited telemarketing calls, text messages and faxes.
Lead associate in litigation team that represented an international real estate company and secured dismissal of all claims (including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair competition claims) with prejudice in multiple class actions.
Represented high net worth individual in defamation action and secured dismissal of all claims with prejudice, after conducting oral argument.
Second chaired trial involving claims of wrongful termination and unfair labor practices asserted against international food corporation.
Cathy has first-chaired and won a restraining order trial.
