CAROLYN MAHONEY Associate
Carolyn Mahoney is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.  Her work focuses on regulatory, transactional, litigation, and policy matters involving telecommunications and technology clients.  Carolyn advises clients on issues arising from operations in the communications and Internet spaces, and counsels on matters related to spectrum management and data services.  She also monitors a broad array of FCC rulemaking proceedings and regularly informs clients about developments in important pending proceedings.  Carolyn is well versed in the FCC’s universal licensing system and other FCC databases, and has extensive experience in researching communications and other legal issues.

Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Carolyn was an Associate Attorney at a boutique telecommunications law firm in Washington, D.C. where she advised clients in the telecommunications industry on a range of regulatory and transactional issues before the FCC and state and local regulatory entities, as well as on broadcast and cable issues.
 
Assisting clients in navigating a variety of wireless issues including spectrum licensing and acquisitions, universal service, infrastructure buildout and deployment, the Open Internet proceeding, and other broadband-related matters.

Assisting in completing regulatory due diligence for transactions involving financing of mergers, acquisitions, and media transactions.

Representing clients in regulatory rulemaking presentations involving call blocking and call completion proceedings.

Advising clients in the television and radio broadcast industry regarding regulatory compliance and filings, transactional matters, and broadcast policy issues.

Advising clients on national and state-level emerging technology and Internet of Things policies and legislation.
