Lead associate on the trial team defending a major entertainment company in a multimillion-dollar contract dispute in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. A favorable settlement was obtained on the second day of trial.
Lead associate in the representation of a multinational energy company in various cases brought by residents of Puerto Rico alleging in excess of $1 billion in property damages and personal injuries due to a bulk storage fuel terminal explosion.
Member of the team that successfully represented an international eyewear manufacturer before an AAA arbitration panel in a dispute regarding breach of contract claims between the manufacturer and licensor of innovative lens technology.
Intellectual Property and Technology
Successfully defended the organizer of major New York City fashion events against an application for a temporary restraining order and motion for preliminary injunction in connection with a trademark infringement suit.
Lead associate in the representation of a major retailer in a multimillion-dollar software licensing dispute involving copyright infringement and breach of contract claims. A favorable settlement was obtained prior to trial.
Part of a small litigation team for an international cosmetics company bringing a trademark action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Obtained a favorable settlement for the client during discovery.
Obtained a favorable decision on the merits in favor of an athletic footwear and apparel retailer client after an ICANN Domain Dispute arbitration. The arbitrator held that the disputed domain name was confusingly similar to the client’s trademark and was registered in bad faith. An appeal panel ruled in the client’s favor, affirming the suspension of the disputed domain name.
Assisted in the representation of a famous apparel, home furnishings, fragrances and accessories designer in an Objection and Dispute Resolution Proceeding before the ICC related to ICANN’s new gTLD program.
Prepares settlement agreements, coexistence agreements and cease and desist demands to those infringing on our clients’ intellectual property.
Defending a leading entertainment technology company in an arbitration before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR).
Part of team representing a major international construction company in an arbitration brought against the Republic of Argentina before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The client’s claims in the arbitration are made pursuant to the bilateral investment treaty between Germany and Argentina. Prepared witness statements and hearing testimony for 11-day merits hearing.
Successfully defended a leading provider of micro-crop technology in an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration brought by a customer alleging the breach of a license agreement.
