The EPA’s Action Plan On PFAS, One Year Later

Partner Bill Jackson and special counsel Steven Humphreys co-authored an Expert Analysis for Law 360 entitled The EPA’s Action Plan On PFAS, One Year Later.” The article examines the latest activity in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s plan to address current PFAS contamination and prevent future contamination.  Despite incremental progress over the past year, many have criticized the agency for not yet deciding whether to set an maximum containment level (MCL) for PFAS, or whether to list these chemicals as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, or CERCLA, also known as the Superfund law.
