Spring 2010 Newsletter

The Secure Times

Associate Alysa Hutnik edited the Spring 2010 issue of The Secure Times, the newsletter of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s Privacy and Information Security Committee. This issue had a particular focus on practical considerations associated with business and legal issues facing many privacy and data security practitioners – whether as a result of new technology, evolving privacy standards, data security threats, and new legal requirements. Articles included a legal and policy analysis of locational mobile applications; a forensic view of PCI-based laws and whether they are likely to improve security practices; evolving privacy considerations in cross-channel marketing; privilege considerations with data security and privacy audit reports; P2P risks and remediation strategies; and potential effects of nationalizing data security standards.
