Second Circuit Copyright Ruling Offers Relief From Late-Filed Suits

Scholastic Inc. decision that monetary damages in a copyright infringement suit are limited to those incurred in the three years preceding the commencement of suit. The Sohm decision resolves a disagreement that had emerged within the Second Circuit since the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Petrella v. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.
