The article focused on how directors and officers of charities can address the conflicting interests of their creditors, donors and the community, while responding to financial difficulties. The article discussed the laws governing the conduct of managers of charitable organizations and how managers can insure against personal liability. The article also examined the differences between the Uniform Management of Institutional Funds Act and the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act.
