Special Counsel Jennifer Fried authored the Law360 article “Butter Cookies, Rob Lowe And Advertising Self-Regulation.” The article outlines the implications of the Danisa decision, issued last month by the National Advertising Division (NAD). Jennifer focuses on the  NAD finding that a distributor was accountable for the label claims as an “advertiser.”  She warns sellers, retailers, distributors and even charitable organizations, to be prepared for accountability, given the NAD’s expanding jurisdictional reach.
