Z Gallerie Committee Selects Kelley Drye as Bankruptcy Counsel

Kelley Drye has been retained as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Z Gallerie (Committee). Z Gallerie was founded in 1979 and is a leading specialty home furnishing retailer with stores in 18 states around the country. The company specializes in high quality products for the home and office, including furniture, artwork, lighting, tabletop items, textiles and decorative accessories from around the world.

Z Gallerie filed a petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code on April 10, 2009. The Committee was appointed on April 30, 2009, by the Office of the United States Trustee. On May 4, 2009, the Committee selected Kelley Drye as its bankruptcy counsel. Kelley Drye is working with Z Gallerie and its advisors to evaluate various restructuring alternatives in an effort to preserve the debtor’s business as a growing concern and maximize the return to creditors.

The Kelley Drye team is led by partners Eric Wilson and Bob LeHane. The team includes special counsels Ben Feder and Kristin Elliott, associate Jennifer Raviele, and paralegal Marie Vicinanza.
