Kelley Drye Sponsors 2008 Brennan Legacy Awards Dinner

Kelley Drye showed its support for the Brennan Center for Justice, with a partner level sponsorship of the non-profit organization’s Legacy Awards Dinner.” The event was held on Nov. 17, 2008 at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in New York City. The dinner supports the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, a nonpartisan law and policy institute that focuses on issues of democracy and justice. Lewis B. Cullman, author and philanthropist received the Center’s Champion of Democracy Award and Jay S. Fishman, chairman and chief executive officer of The Travelers Companies, Inc., and Donna F. Edwards, congresswoman, Maryland’s 4th Congressional District, received the Center’s Legacy Awards.

The Brennan Center’s work ranges from voting rights to redistricting reform, from access to the courts to presidential power in the fight against terrorism. The organization is part think tank, part public interest law firm, part advocacy group, combining scholarship, legislative and legal advocacy and communications to win meaningful, measurable change in the public sector.
