Kelley Drye Represents H2O Plus in Its Sale

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP represented H2O Plus, LLC in the sale of its business to Cordova Smart & Williams, a New York-based private equity investment firm, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

H2O Plus is a Chicago-based company engaging in developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing water-based and sea-derived personal care products. Founded in 1989 by Cindy Melk, the company focuses on health and beauty products including spa, bath and body, hair care, fragrances and accessories. Melk will remain with the company as Chief Creative Officer.

The Kelley Drye team was led by Chicago partner Timothy R. Lavender. The firm advised H2O commencing with the selection of the right investment banking firm through the close of the sale transaction.
