In the 2010 annual American Lawyer Mid-Level Associates Survey, Kelley Drye ranked #8 among New York law firms and #26 compared to law firms nationwide.

Each year, The American Lawyer magazine surveys third through fifth year associates from a list of the country’s 200 largest firms by asking them to complete a questionnaire spanning over 80 questions. This year AmLaw surveyed over 5,000 such associates.

The average composite score was based on ratings for 12 core questions that related to job satisfaction such as: relationships with partners and other associates; interest and satisfaction with work; training and guidance; billable hours policies; management’s transparency about firm strategies and partnership chances; the firm’s attitude toward pro bono work; compensation and benefits; and the associates’ inclination to stay at the firm for at least two more years.
