Kelley Drye Expands Intellectual Property Practice with Addition of New Partner

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that Michael J. Zinna, the principal of intellectual property boutique Ward & Zinna, LLC, has joined the firm as partner. Michael will be based in the firm’s New York and New Jersey offices. Michael focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, including complex patent litigation, post-grant review proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB), trademark litigation, IP licensing, and the management of domestic and international IP portfolios.

Mc’s practice encompasses all facets of intellectual property, with a focus on patent and trademark litigation, procurement, clearance and licensing. In particular, he has extensive experience representing his clients in patent litigation against non-practicing entities (NPEs). Mr. Zinna also represents patent holders and petitioners in post-grant review proceedings before the PTAB and handles opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board (TTAB). In addition to his patent and trademark docket, Michael litigates trade dress, copyright and unfair competition cases, and advises clients on branding strategy and patent design-around options. He was named a Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers from 2011-2014.
