Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that William S. Gyves has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice as a partner in the New York and Parsippany offices. Mr. Gyves, formerly co-chair of the National Litigation Steering Committee at Epstein Becker & Green PC, focuses his national practice on the litigation, arbitration and mediation of complex business disputes.

Mr. Gyves represents clients in a diverse spectrum of industries, including financial services, media, insurance, accounting, consulting and hospitality. He also has significant experience representing institutions of higher education, for which he provides both practical litigation solutions and risk avoidance advice. He understands the nuanced challenges that universities face in today’s highly-regulated market, and he designs legal strategies that advance his clients’ missions and business goals.

“Bill’s experience advising clients on core business interests and his established litigation record make him a natural fit with our litigation practice,” said Robert I. Steiner, managing partner of Kelley Drye’s New York office. “We are delighted that his addition will enhance the depth of our team and the service we offer clients.”

“Kelley Drye’s track record of successfully and efficiently litigating complex business disputes spans decades, and speaks for itself,” said Mr. Gyves. “The firm’s deep litigation bench, coupled with its recognized expertise in a number of other practice areas, makes Kelley Drye an ideal platform from which to service my clients and respond effectively to the full range of legal issues affecting their businesses.”

Mr. Gyves received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, cum laude, and his B.A. from Fordham University. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Gyves joins a team of nearly 100 litigators working throughout the firm’s seven offices. Clients turn to Kelley Drye’s litigation team for its formidable experience across a wide universe of commercial litigation areas, and the firm is listed among 24 “Highly Recommended” firms for litigation in a survey of Fortune 500 corporate counsel conducted by BTI Consulting.
