KDW Victory for Pitney Bowes Affirmed by Second Circuit

Kelley Drye successfully defended Pitney Bowes which was sued for commissions allegedly due for consulting services rendered in connection with the sale and leaseback of a Connecticut property. In this case, the Second Circuit affirmed a decision issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, which granted summary judgment for the defendants on the grounds that a fee-splitting agreement between the Union Bank of Switzerland Lease Finance LLC (UBS) and the plaintiff was illegal under New York Real Estate Law.
