Ms. McCadney has significant experience in the areas of trade legislation, trade policy and U.S. competitiveness, including tariff reductions, Congressional approval of free trade agreements - specifically the recently enacted agreements with Panama, Colombia and Korea - Middle East trade issues and Customs and Border Protection oversight. She also has extensive knowledge of U.S. customs laws and regulations and is familiar with other import-related issues such as enforcement, trade facilitation and other agencies' regulation of imports for health, safety and security.
"We are delighted to welcome Jennifer back to the firm. We have known her as a terrific lawyer and wonderful person. Her legislative experience, including her work on tariff reduction legislation and the recently approved free trade agreements, should prove valuable to Kelley Drye and our clients," said Paul Rosenthal, Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office.
Ms. McCadney has spoken at several events during her time on the Hill, to audiences that include the National Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association of America and the Express Association of America. Additionally, she was featured in a Kulwer's Global Trade & Customs Journal interview in 2011. In 2004, Ms. McCadney was the recipient of Collier Shannon Scott's first William W. "I am very excited about joining Kelley Drye's government relations practice group and being part of a firm known for its exceptional regulatory and legislative counsel and legal service. I also look forward to collaborating with the group and expanding its areas of expertise. The real bonus for me, however, is the opportunity to work again with widely respected colleagues and friends," Ms. McCadney said.
