Fashion Leaders Gather In New York For Sixth Annual IN FASHION” Summit

Thought leaders from some of the world’s leading fashion and retail companies attended the January 16, 2020 IN FASHION event, which was held at New York’s historic Maxwell Hotel. The event, which enters its sixth year, was hosted by Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and featured a full day of presentations on issues that are critical to the fashion and retail industry.

In the past, panel discussions at IN FASHION have served as a bellwether for issues that would shape fashion and retail. Panels this year looked to continue that trend with topic discussions around the challenges of the digital marketplace; sustainability and green marketing initiatives; key policy issues and legal developments facing the fashion industry in 2020; and the impact that the recent California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) could have on privacy compliance in the coming year.

One of the highlights of this year’s event was a discussion between Sara Moss, Vice Chair of The Estée Lauder Companies, and Andrea Calvaruso, Partner and Chair of the Trademark and Copyright practice at Kelley Drye.

Sara generously shared her insights regarding the challenges facing the industry and lessons learned along her impressive career path,” said Andrea Calvaruso. Her perspectives, along with the in depth discussions that took place throughout the day, made this year’s IN FASHION summit one of the most successful yet.”
