Benjamin D. Feder Joins Kelley Drye as Bankruptcy and Restructuring Special Counsel

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that Ben Feder has joined the firm as Special Counsel in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group. He represents debtors, bondholders, creditors’ committees and other parties in all phases of Chapter 11 and other cases under the Bankruptcy Code, U.S. and international workouts, and out of court restructurings. In addition, Ben’s practice includes the representation of secured and unsecured pre-petition bank lenders, debtor in possession financing lenders and purchasers in the acquisitions of troubled companies. He has extensive experience representing clients in bankruptcy cases in jurisdictions throughout the United States.

Ben frequently publishes articles and serves as a guest panelist in seminars covering a wide variety of bankruptcy issues. He is active in New York City’s legal community, with the Legal Aid Society in 2004 awarding him its Pro Bono Award.

Prior to joining the firm, Ben was a partner at Thompson Hine LLP and was with Shearman & Sterling LLP as a special attorney. From 1995 through 1998, he was a founder and principal member of Westchester Brewing Company. He also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Cecelia H. Goetz in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

In 1985, Ben received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for the Highest Grade in Constitutional Law. In 1981, he received his B.A. degree magna cum laude from Boston University.
