Kelley Drye’s 2016 Advertising and Privacy Law Summit was featured in the Washington Post article “‘No need to break in’: The Watergate Hotel reopens its doors after nine years.” The article focuses on the newly renovated Watergate hotel. Kelley Drye’s Summit was one of the first events held in the new space and is noted for its 110 guests and the sessions including “Follow the trail,” “I am not a crook,” and “Deep throat” — a discussion on how to deal with whistleblowers. Partner Christie Thompson said that, “Of course we had some fun with it. Given the historical significance of the complex, we figured it was a terrific place to discuss deception, public policy and invasion of privacy.”
