The New York Law Journal Reports James S. Carr as New Chair

The New York Law Journal reported that James S. Carr has been elected chair and selected Lewis Rose as managing partner of the firm in the article ​“Kelley Drye Selects New Chair of Firm.” In their new roles, Mr. Carr will oversee firm strategy and Mr. Rose will oversee day-to-day operations. Mr. Carr succeeds Paul McCurdy, who will continue to serve as head of the broker-deal practice group and remain a member of the executive committee. The article noted that Mr. Carr plans on increasing the firm’s brand awareness outside of New York and Washington. ​“We’ve been around a long time and yet some people don’t know our brand. Some people outside New York, say, ​‘oh, that’s a New York-based firm,’ so we have to work on that,” Mr. Carr said.
