June 16, 2011

The Thomson Reuters column in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel reviews the treatise, Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel.  Partner Robert L. Haig is the editor-in-chief of the four volume, 7,000-page book written by 275 authors including general counsel of Fortune 500 companies and partners of major law firms.  The article states "This critically acclaimed treatise contains comprehensive coverage of numerous strategies that a corporate law department can implement to maximize the value of legal work for corporate clients."

In addition to annual updates, eight new chapters were added to the treatise in 2011.  The article notes partner Paul C. Rosenthal and Paul M. Liebenson, general counsel of ArcelorMittal USA, wrote the chapter on international trade.  The review states the chapter assists corporations legally addressing low-priced competition and offers guidance to companies, which are respondents in trade remedy cases.
