The American Lawyer article, "Back On Track?" noted the percentage of minority lawyers at law firms has edged up. The reporter noted the increase in diversity across big firms is noteworthy as it halts a dip in minority lawyers last year. The publication compiles its "Diversity Scorecard" by sending surveys to firms in The Am Law 100 and The NLJ (National Law Journal) 250.
The article noted Kelley Drye moved up in the Scorecard rankings, "added 15 lateral associates in 2010; five were minorities, according to the firm's head of diversity, Sarah Reid. Overall the firm saw a 1.5 percent increase in the number of minority lawyers in 2010."
