article “SCOTUS Upholds TCPA; Questions on What’s a Robocall.”
The article discusses the Supreme Court ruling earlier this week, which upheld the constitutionality of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, in much-watched Barr v. American Association of Political Consultants. Justices upheld the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, which declared a 2015 government debt collection exemption unconstitutional and severed the provision from the remainder of the law.
“The outcome was expected based on the oral argument, but the decisions are fractured so figuring out what it means for other TCPA issues may be difficult,” said Augustino.
