Partner Richard E. Donovan commented on a Marketplace
radio story regarding the EU's fining of Intel of $1.5 billion for antitrust violations.
Richard, who was noted as the co-chair of the antitrust practice at Kelley Drye & Warren in New York, was quoted on the international aspect of the fine. He said what the U.S. calls "monopolization" and other countries refer to as "abuse of dominance" is the same conduct, where the same standard applies.
He also commented on how the new head of antitrust at the Justice Department will likely approach competition issues differently than with the past administration.
