Corporate Finance Law360 and Securities Law360 published an article, "Q&A with Kelley Drye & Warren's Paul McCurdy." Mr. McCurdy chairs the firm's Broker-Dealer practice group. In the profile, Mr. McCurdy discussed what attracted him to the securities industry and current topics involving mutual funds, short-selling issues and Ponzi schemes. He reviewed areas where the body of regulations and standards are not well defined and cause confusion. For example, he noted technology has outpaced regulations. Mr. McCurdy described areas where he sees future greater scrutiny. He also addressed the skills set helpful for attorneys in "an industry where entrepreneurialism is rewarded, where there is innovation, creativity, intense regulation and government involvement and interaction."
