" discusses the FCC’s draft rules for the $14.2 billion Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The proposed rules incorporate consumer protection provisions, and several ACP changes were made to reflect challenges seen during Emergency Broadband Benefit Programs. These rules will be finalized Friday, January 14.
“Many of the decisions are spot-on,” said Heitmann. He went on to state that some concerns he raised in meetings with aides to commissioners and Wireline Bureau staff that are “likely attributable to correctable drafting errors forced by the ultra-compressed timeline.”
