in an article discussing control of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). The article, which explores the January 2021 end of acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss’ 210-day temporary term under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, discusses, among other possibilities, the concern that Attorney General Bill Barr could interfere with ongoing SDNY investigations with just days to go before a theoretical Biden administration would be sworn in. Commenting on the idea, Jaimie noted that it “would be kind of unsettling, but I don’t think there’s anything [that Barr] could do in the way of concrete damage.”
