Partner Jaimie Nawaday Discusses Whistleblower Complaint and Rudy Giuliani in New York Law Journal
October 1, 2019
Partner Jaimie Nawaday was quoted in the New York Law Journal article entitled, “Former Prosecutors Break Down Giuliani’s Legal Problems Over Whistleblower Complaint.” The article discusses the possibility of criminal exposure for Rudy Giuliani, a former New York City mayor and President Trump’s personal attorney, over his alleged role in an effort to have the Ukrainian government interfere in the 2020 U.S. election. The allegations stem from the release of a whistleblower report, which raised questions over a July phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
“There’s already talk of criminal exposure for Rudy Giuliani,” said Jaimie. ”And there are a lot more facts that are about to come out.” Multiple House committees have subpoenaed Giuliani for documents related to Ukraine and many attorneys have voiced concern about Giuliani’s many TV appearances. “The more he goes on TV, and talks about this, the more he imperils himself,” Jaimie added.
